This spave film series become something more than ordinary. It became part of the culture. First the three original films came out and then a prequel trilogy, and between all these films they made science fiction much more appealing to a wider range in age group. One film started this whole film series and media franchise that goes beyond just films, into TV shows, games, books etc.
On May 25th 1977, the first ever “Star Wars” movie was released. It was called Star Wars IV: A New Hope, and out of all of the films it has been nominated and has won the most awards.
Not only is Star Wars known worldwide, but it also has it’s own attraction at Disneyland. That is very big because having an attraction based on a film series which they do not own is not typical at all of Disney.
