Ginger Spice, also known as Geri Halliwell, announces she is leaving the Spice Girls due to differences between the members of the girl band.

The Spice Girls were an all girl pop group from Britain that signed to Virgin Records and became a big hit in the United States during the 90’s. The members of the group were given nicknames that represented who they were and those nicknames were definitely recognized world-wide. They attained so much success in such a short span of time to this day they remain the best selling female group of all time.

On May 31st 1998, Ginger Spice, also known as Geri Halliwell, announced she was leaving the Spice Girls due to differences between the members of the girl band. It was not just the differences in the group that affecter Geri, but she was also suffering from depression.

Even though Geri Halliwell did leave the group in 1998 she did go back in 2007 when they had their reunion concert tour.
