The notable musician Marvin Gaye is known for his baby-making love songs and his ability to appeal to the hurt, the happy, and the soulful.

On this day, September 28th, in 1989, Marvin Gaye is attributed a posthumous star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. It was after two years of consistent protesting from Gaye fans worldwide, that Gaye was awarded a star. The circumstance of his death, his drug abuse, and his outspoken manner are said to have delayed his tributary.
