At the age of 16, Tiger Woods becomes the youngest PGA golfer in over 30 years

One thing that excites us all is greatness at a young age.  In 1978, at just two years old, Tiger Woods hit golf balls on the Mike Douglas TV show.  This is a moment that only became special years down the road when Tiger Woods had success in the real world of competitive golf.

It was on this day, February 27th, 1992, that Tiger Woods became the youngest PGA golfer in over 30 years.  Tiger competed in the Nissan Los Angeles Open at the Rivera Country Club.

Tiger didn’t play well as he missed the cut.  However, this opportunity to play professional golf at such a young age led to amazing things.  In his first 13 years on the professional golf circuit, Tiger Woods won an amazing 14 major championships.
